About us
"VERTIKO" d.o.o. was founded in 2004 in Zagreb and it is specialized in work at height. It continues the business of the operating company "PAUK" (founded in 1993) which no longer exists (closed in 2005). The business scope has been expanded so that "VERTIKO" now performs the following activities;
- work at height training,
- the sale of Personal Protective Equipment,
- development of technical solutions and work at height documentation,
- work at height consultancy and supervision,
- work at height operations.
Stjepko Vrsalović graduate civil engineer, is the owner of "VERTIKO", director and leading manager of all company activities.
He graduated at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in 1988, after that he performed all kinds of expert works, managed a number of construction sites, and in 2005 he gained the right of supervision as an Authorized Engineer of the Chamber. As a member of the rock-climbing society, he started being active in work at height even during his college education. He applies all techniques of work at height and he is among the first six rope technicians in Croatia with the IRATA licence. After the discharge from the military service in 1993, he founded "PAUK", an operating company specialized in work at height (it no longer exists), and due to the widening of the business scope, in 2005 he founded "VERTIKO". With the leading and expert activities in the company, he is the author of the training programme and he actively lectures and provides practical teaching for work at height.
Rope access, a special work at height technique enabling access to work positions by rope and corresponding equipment, is a specific line of activity the company is involved in even today. The ten-year application of internationally recognized standards enabled the company owner and his five employees to pass the exam for IRATA rope technicians in 2003. This made them the first rope technicians in Croatia with the internationally recognized licence that proves the highest level of safety in work at height.
The years-long activity of the company has been marked with the use of the highest work and safety standards. Fall protection skills, expert qualifications and experience enabled the company to carry out the most demanding construction works, from putting up scaffolding and metal structures on Zagreb Cathedral to blasting of coating in cement silos. The quality of service enabled the cooperation with most prominent national companies, and the achieved security level started the idea of training for work at height.
Training for work at height started in 2005, after a long-lasting gathering of data, forming of programmes and making a training ground. The training rests on European standards and was immediately recognized as a mode of safety and efficiency improvement in work at height. Soon after the training, started the sale of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the company offered its services in the development of technical solutions and documentation, as well as in consultancy and supervision that cover the area of work at height.
Work at height is our speciality that we have been improving for more than 15 years. Through the advanced training and active application we are trying to improve it even today.
